Community Outreach Program

Bridging Gaps, Transforming Lives
In the slum communities where REAP works, poverty is not just about the lack of money, it’s also about the lack of access to rights, information, and services that many take for granted. Families struggle not only with low income and poor housing, but also with navigating complex government systems. Basic services like healthcare, education, identity documentation, and welfare benefits remain out of reach simply due to a lack of awareness, digital illiteracy, or bureaucratic hurdles.
At REAP, our mission is to not only educate children but to uplift entire families. That’s where our Community Outreach program comes in. It is a critical arm of our work—dedicated to empowering underserved communities with knowledge, tools, and direct support so they can live with dignity. Through this initiative, we reach out to the forgotten, the uninformed, and the unregistered—ensuring that every individual has access to essential government schemes, identity documentation, and social entitlements.

Our Impact
- Official documents were processed for community members.
- BHA Health Cards were generated to improve access to healthcare.
- Women were registered under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
- Various government schemes and essential documents were facilitated and generated.
- People were enrolled for E-Shram Cards to avail labor welfare benefits.
- Families were supported in securing Ayushman Bharat health coverage.
- New Aadhaar cards were created for children and biometric updates were completed for adults.

What We Do ?
We organize door-to-door awareness campaigns and group meetings to educate slum residents about government welfare schemes, health benefits, and social security.
We set up camps at our REAP centers to help people with form filling, documentation, online registration, and submission processes for:
- E-Shram Card
- Ayushman Bharat Health Card
- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana
- ABHA Health ID
- New and updated Aadhar Cards
Our outreach team provides personal support to those who need extra help—whether it’s elderly citizens, single mothers, or uneducated adults.
We help residents understand complex legal and digital terms by translating important information into simple Hindi or Marathi.
